Peter leads PwC Hong Kong’s digital assets practice and is a partner in the firm’s financial services tax practice, where he coordinates PwC’s global tax efforts relating to digital asset taxation. He has worked in the digital assets and Web3 space since 2017 and in financial services since 2004. Peter is a strong believer in the transformative potential of blockchain technology in unlocking significant value for market participants in the financial services sector.

Drawing on eight years of experience advising Web3-native startups, Peter aims to help traditional financial institutions transition into the Web3 economy and explore opportunities in real‑world asset tokenisation. Peter has advised clients across the financial services industry on tax matters, as well as digital asset exchanges, custodians, fund managers, and financial institutions on developing their digital asset strategies. More recently, he has supported companies on real‑world asset tokenisation initiatives and worked with governments and regulators on digital asset policy development.

Peter is a founding board member of Web3 Harbour, an industry association dedicated to advancing the growth of Hong Kong’s Web3 ecosystem. He also participates in the AIMA Digital Assets Working Group, the ASIFMA Fintech Working Group, and is a member of the Fintech Association of Hong Kong. Peter is the author of the PwC Global Crypto Tax Report and the Global Crypto Hedge Fund Report, produced by PwC in collaboration with the Alternative Investment Management Association (AIMA).

He has spoken at numerous industry events, including Hong Kong Fintech Week and the 2023 IOSCO Global Conference in Bangkok, and contributed to the IOSCO Asia Pacific Regional Committee and FSB Asia Group annual meeting on crypto assets in 2024.

Edwin Chan currently serves as Head of International, iDirect, where he leads the global expansion and strategic development of iCapital’s iDirect platform. Prior to this role, Edwin was the first senior hire in 2021 in the region with a mandate to build out the business, and in the capacity of Head of Client Solutions, APAC, he played a pivotal role in building iCapital’s client franchise and deepening relationships with fund managers and wealth partners across seven Asian markets. With over 25 years of experience in the financial services industry, Edwin brings deep expertise in private markets and a strong track record of building cross-border investment solutions, particularly in the Asia Pacific region.

Before joining iCapital, Edwin successfully founded and spent a decade building the Probitas Partners business in Asia. He has worked with many private market firms across different alternative investment strategies as well as with institutional and family office investors in the Asia Pacific region. Previously, Edwin worked with AIG Global Investments, Citi, and HSBC based out of Hong Kong in various regional roles covering clients across the broad Asian geography. He holds a MBA and a BA from the University of South Australia and is a Certified Practicing Accountant of CPA Australia.

Niall Grady is the Asia, Chief Risk Officer (CRO) for Sun Life, based out of Hong Kong. Niall has over 20 years of risk management experience in financial services, asset management and insurance. Prior to joining Sun Life Niall worked at FWD Group where his roles included Interim Group Risk Officer and Group Chief Compliance Officer. Before FWD, Niall held progressively senior positions in Risk and Compliance with Prudential Plc including Asia Compliance Officer, Head of Risk & Singapore CRO of Eastspring Investments, Asia Head of Enterprise Risk, Solvency II, and Asia Head of Op Risk. Niall started his career with FCE Bank plc, a subsidiary of Ford Motor Company specialising in Automotive financial services.

Katie He is an Executive Director and Head of Product and Strategy at ChinaAMC (HK). Spearheading Product Development, Business Strategy, Digital Assets, Marketing & Public Relations, she drives innovative growth initiatives traditional and digital assets to reinforce the firm’s market leadership. With over 13 years of international experience in asset management and asset servicing, Katie brings a global perspective to her role.

Katie holds a bachelor’s degree in economics from University of Waterloo and a master’s degree in finance from Queen's University.

Mark Humphreys is a senior PwC partner based in Hong Kong with over 30 years at the firm, working on audits of large international insurance groups. He is PwC’s Global IFRS17 Audit Leader and a member of the Global Public Policy Committee Insurance Working Group, representing PwC to regulators such as the Financial Stability Board and IAIS. He has led global audits for major insurers and was the lead partner for the IFRS17/IFRS9 implementation for several insurers. Prior to Hong Kong, he worked in Germany, Switzerland, Italy and the UK. His broader PwC experience includes transaction support, regulatory projects, accounting support, internal audit, and finance transformation. He is a Fellow Chartered Accountant (ICAEW).

Jaijit Kumar is Head of Asia Insurance Solutions, responsible for leading Invesco’s Insurance Solutions business in Asia Pacific. Based out of Hong Kong, he is primarily focused on the broader institutional channel and platforms to deliver solutions applicable to insurance clients. 

Jaijit has more than 20 years of extensive experience in the insurance and financial services industry, having worked in the US, Taiwan and Hong Kong. He joined Invesco in 2019 from Aviva, where he was the Chief Investment Officer for Asia, overseeing investment activities of the company’s insurance entities across the region. Prior to that, he was the Chief Investment Officer at AXA China Region in Hong Kong, responsible for managing the company’s general and separate accounts. He has also worked at New York Life International.

Jaijit holds a Bachelor of Science (Honors) degree from Delhi University, and a Master of Business Administration from the University of Rochester, New York. He is a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) charterholder.

Josephine is PwC Hong Kong’s Asset and Wealth Management (AWM) Industry Leader and a seasoned Audit Partner with more than 25 years of professional experience. She brings deep expertise across both traditional and alternative asset management, advising clients that span the full spectrum of asset classes. Josephine began her career in PwC’s Financial Services (FS) practice serving banks and brokers, before specialising in asset management over the past two decades. Her portfolio includes multinational asset managers, private equity, private credit and venture capital funds, hedge funds, and real asset funds.

Beyond audit engagements, Josephine leverages her extensive technical knowledge to advise clients on internal controls, valuation methodologies, and regulatory compliance. She is also closely involved in the evolving Digital Assets landscape, supporting clients as they navigate this emerging asset class. Josephine serves as the lead partner for PwC Hong Kong’s Private Equity and Venture Capital (PEVC) fund audit business, a key pillar of the firm’s broader Private Equity Practice. Her deep industry insight enables her to stay on top of market trends, understand the strategic and operational challenges facing asset managers, and help clients position for growth.

Actively engaged in the asset management community, Josephine is a regular speaker at industry events and contributes to shaping industry dialogue. As a member of the Technical Committee of the Hong Kong Private Equity and Venture Capital Association (HKVCA), she is committed to promoting Hong Kong as a leading asset management and private equity hub, and provides guidance on regulatory and tax developments affecting the sector.

Josephine is a member of both the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Hong Kong Institute of Certified Public Accountants. She graduated with Honours from the University of British Columbia with a Bachelor of Commerce and holds a Master of Arts in Philosophy from the Chinese University of Hong Kong. 

David Shick serves as Market Head Greater China Hong Kong and Branch Manager Hong Kong at Julius Baer, which he joined in 2016. As the country head for China based in Hong Kong, David is responsible for expanding the Bank’s business presence and client base across Greater China. 

With more than three decades of experience in the financial industry, David possesses a wide range of professional and management expertise. Prior to Julius Baer, he spent eight years in leadership as Market Leader China & Taiwan at Credit Suisse’s private banking unit, building a successful franchise that covered China, including Taiwan. 

David holds a Master of Business Administration from the Fuqua School of Business at Duke University, North Carolina, and a Bachelor of Business Administration from Simon Fraser University, British Columbia. He is a member of Duke University’s Fuqua School of Business East Asia Regional Advisory Board, and a member of the Executive Committee of the Private Wealth Management Association in Hong Kong. 

Allan Song is the Head of Data & Digital for Financing & Securities Services (FSS) at Standard Chartered, based in Hong Kong. As a global transformation leader, his mandate covers 40 markets in Asia, Middle East and Africa, leading a portfolio of Data, AI and Digital Asset transformation programs focused on driving industry leading asset servicing capabilities across custody, funds and digital.

He is passionate about solving complex problems and developing strategic global solutions to improve automation, scalability, client experience, regulatory adherence, and operational effectiveness. In recent years, his focus has been ensuring Business, Operations and Technology teams in Standard Chartered continue be an industry leader in adopting emerging technologies such as artificial intelligence and blockchain, in order to future proof against accelerated market disruption.

Allan has 20 years of experience in financial services, and prior to Standard Chartered, has held senior positions at other financial institutions where he has led COO, technology, operations, business architecture and data analytics teams. He holds a degree in Computer Science from the University of Toronto, in the same faculty as Professor Geoffrey Hinton and OpenAI Co-Founder Ilya Sutskever, specialising in computational complexity theory, financial engineering and data management. He continues to be active in artificial intelligence and digital asset communities across the industry.

Lisa is an audit partner with PwC Hong Kong. She has extensive auditing experience in the asset & wealth management sector. She started her career with PwC Boston, where she focused on conducting US GAAP financial statements audits of US mutual funds and US asset management companies.

During her tenure with PwC Hong Kong, Lisa services a wide range of clients including global asset managers, Chinese headquartered asset managers setting up in Hong Kong, and alternative investment funds (in particular hedge funds, private equity funds and real estate funds).

In addition to financial statements audits, Lisa also has extensive experience on advising start-up clients on setting up new funds from accounting, operational, regulatory & compliance perspectives; and working on non-audit assignments, e.g. ISAE3402/SOC-1 internal controls reports for global asset managers.

Lisa is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Hong Kong Institute of Certified Public Accountants. She graduated from McGill University in Montreal, Canada, with a Bachelor of Commerce.

Billy Wong is a partner specialising in the Insurance Market sector of the Financial Services Practice in Hong Kong. He has 29 years of experience in providing assurance and advisory services to insurance companies in Hong Kong and in the region.

Billy has extensive experience in a wide variety of advisory and consultancy work for insurers. Billy has advised a range of major insurers on significant transactions and partnership, regulatory compliance, IFRS conversion, capital management, and other projects. Billy has recently been working with a number of insurers on risk-based capital reporting. Billy has also been involved in a number of insurance IPOs, liquidation, and other projects.

Dr. Jackie Yan is Chief Economist at PwC China, where he leads economics, policy, and strategy research. He provides strategic insights to senior leaders and major clients, and authors PwC’s flagship thought leadership series, China Economic Quarterly. Prior to joining PwC, Dr. Yan was a professor of international business, economics, and strategy at the University of Hong Kong and the National University of Singapore. He is a sought-after speaker at global conferences and serves on the editorial boards of leading journals, including the Journal of International Business Studies, Strategic Management Journal, and Strategic Organisation. Dr. Yan holds a PhD from the National University of Singapore and a BA from Fudan University.

Meng Zhou joined Nan Fung in 2017 and is currently a Partner & Head of Private Investment Team. Meng is involved in the firm’s private fund and direct investments.

Before joining Nan Fung, Meng worked at AlpInvest Partners where he evaluated and executed fund investments across Asia Pacific. Before AlpInvest, he was with Oaktree Capital covering private equity investments in Asia. Prior to that, he worked in investment banking at Credit Suisse in New York and Hong Kong.

Meng received a BS in Biomedical Engineering and a MS in Operations Research from Columbia University.
