Robert Li has more than seventeen years experience of practising tax in Australia and China. He is now a Partner in the corporate tax team of PwC Shanghai and the lead partner of Indirect Tax practice of Central China.
Robert has developed extensive knowledge with respect to PRC tax and business systems, including direct and indirect taxation, customs, business laws and regulations, business expansion strategies, etc. Robert has been actively involved in providing practical business strategic solutions and tax consultation to many multinational clients investing in the PRC. His experiences include tax planning for multinational companies, international tax consultation, merger/acquisition work, ruling application, tax audit defence, etc. In addition, through his years in helping clients to invest into China, Robert has developed and maintained very good relationship with many Chinese tax officials and gained an in-depth understanding of the local practice of different areas in China.
Robert has worked with companies with a wide range of industries including transportation, automotive, telecommunication, industrial products, FMCG, distribution, etc.
Robert was graduated from Shanghai Jiaotong University. He is a member of the Chinese Institute of Certified Public Accountants and Association of Certified Tax Agents.
