Penny Chan

Penny Chan is a tax partner of the US Tax Consulting Group. She has extensive experience in providing US tax advisory and compliance services to multinational and local clients on investment fund structuring, corporate reorganizations, US inbound investment structuring, and joint ventures and business start-up issues.

Penny works with private and listed clients located in the US and Asia Pacific region including private equity funds, hedge funds and real estate funds. She provides advice to the funds on a wide range of US tax matters such as US tax reform impact, structuring issues, tax planning for funds and fund management groups, US tax compliance and withholding requirements, FATCA and CRS compliance, etc. Penny serves some of our firm’s largest asset management clients with over US$10 billion in AUM.

Penny received a BBA from Boston University. She is a US Certified Public Accountant and a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, Maryland State Board of Public Accountancy and The American Chamber of Commerce (AmCham).
