Krishna Thirumalai joined PwC Hong Kong’s Corporate Finance team in October 2016 from PwC India. With more than six years of experience in infrastructure and transportation sectors, he has advised on bids, PPP transactions and strategy development for large capital projects including airports, ports, railways, highways, free-trade zones and power plants.
Whilst with PwC India, Krishna was involved in developing a commercial and marketing strategy for Indian railways. He has also developed PPP frameworks and financing options for road programs for the Kenyan Government and run transaction processes for projects in Kenya, Ghana and Oman on railways and inland ports.
Prior to joining PwC in May 2014, Krishna worked for three years with the corporate strategy team of GMR Infrastructure where he was involved in strategy development and bid advisory for airports, highways, power plants and mines in India, Turkey and Asia.
Krishna holds an MBA from Lancaster University in the UK and an MSc in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Cincinnati, USA.
