Ma Long is a Tax Partner with PwC Beijing Office. He started his professional tax career in 2000 after graduation from the Law school of Peking University with a double bachelor degree in Law and Economics.
Ma Long has been involved in various tax restructuring, tax planning, health-check, business advisory, due diligence, deal advisory and negotiation assignments for foreign companies with China operations as well as Chinese domestic companies.
He was seconded to PwC New York between 2006 and 2008 and gained rich experience in advising clients in cross-border investments between USA and China. In addition, he has served various major clients of the firm.
In recent years, he handled many tax audit cases in different industries, i.e. IT, auto, financial services, and has regularly represented clients in negotiations with the Chinese tax authorities in different regions of China on their tax positions and tax concessions. Ma Long has developed close connections and relationships with tax authorities in many major cities in China and at the State level.
Ma Long is a China Certified Tax Agent.
