Head of Tax, PwC China
Jeff Yuan is the Head of Tax and a member of the Management Board of PwC China.
Previously, he served as the PwC China Tax Markets Leader and Transfer Pricing Leader, where he oversaw the development and implementation of strategic plans for tax and transfer pricing services.
With more than 20 years of experience in both the U.S. and China, Jeff specialises in providing strategic cross-border tax advice to multinational corporations (MNCs) operating in China and to their overseas headquarters. His experience spans key sectors including automotive, life sciences, chemicals, industrial manufacturing, shipping & logistics, and retail & consumer. His work focuses on helping MNCs design and implement sustainable cross-border transaction structures that align with tax and business strategies at the China, APAC, and global levels.
Jeff is a regular speaker at international professional conferences on topics at the intersection of business strategy, transformation, and the role of tax as a catalyst for unlocking and realising organisational value. He frequently shares insights on China’s evolving role in the global economy and contributes to shaping the global conversation on China’s business transformation, strategic resilience, and tax landscape—empowering businesses to navigate change and seize new opportunities.
Jeff holds a Master’s degree in Business Taxation from the University of Minnesota and a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting from Winona State University. He is a fellow of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA).
