Dora is a Beijing-based specialist on advising complex accounting and reporting matters related to CAS, IFRS and US GAAP conversion, transactions (mergers and carve-out divestitures), SEC regulatory compliance, capital raising and IPO. She also represented PwC in dialogues with Chinese regulators on broader policy and standard setting issues.
With nearly 20 years of experiences, Dora serviced global priority account clients either in an audit or accounting advisory capacity. Her career began in the US leading audits for SEC registrants. Her assignments brought her to Hong Kong, Metro New York and London before relocating to Beijing. She spent three years in accounting consulting group (PwC-US national office), advising on complex US GAAP and IFRS topics focusing on business combination, restructuring and revenue recognition. Representing PwC-US as a Practice Fellow at IASB in London for two years, she led and contributed to several IASB and IFRIC projects, addressing emerging IFRS implementation issues. When on assignment in Hong Kong, Dora advised a variety of Asia Pacific-based companies on US IPO and SEC registration requirements, on-going compliance and complex financial reporting issues.
Dora’s current clients include both foreign enterprises with China operations and domestic FPIs listed on US and local share exchanges. She worked on numerous well known US IPOs, deals and audit engagements, and led GAAP conversion projects for many clients, including :
Dora is a US CPA, fluent in English and Chinese (both Cantonese and Mandarin). She graduated from the University of Oklahoma with a MHR degree in Organizational Development and Northeastern State University with a BBA degree in Accounting.
