Carrie Yu is Senior Advisor with PwC HK, after being the firm's Partner for 22 years. Her professional experience extends across Mainland China, Hong Kong, the UK and Canada. 

Carrie was the first Chinese woman to sit on PwC's Global Governance Board. She is firmly committed to the retail and consumer industry, rendering services to clients and promoting the sector in various capacities, including PwC's Global, Asia Pacific and China Retail & Consumer Leadership roles. Carrie had represented PwC in Davos at the World Economic Forum's Governors Meetings for the food & beverage and retail & consumer goods industries and had also been on The Consumer Goods Forum Global Summit Taskforce multiple times. 

Carrie serves on the board of AEON Co; Ltd, Japan, as independent non-executive director since 2020.

She is also the Vice Chairman of the Supervisory Board of China Chain Store & Franchise Association, and panel judge respectively for the Hong Kong Star Brands Competition and since inception to 2023 the Greater Bay Area Outstanding Women Entrepreneur Awards.

Carrie took up public appointments as a member of selection board for the recruitment of the Privacy Commissioner for Personal Data (2020) and the Hong Kong Tourism Board (2015-2021). She founded the Hang Yan Chain Store Education Foundation in 2013 and had awarded over 1,500 CCFA Hang Yan Scholarships in China. Carrie was recipient of awards including China Economic Development Woman of Year Award, China's Top 10 Outstanding Female Entrepreneurs, CCFA Industry Talent Development Loving Care Award and Golden Peony Award. She also received the China M&A Service Awards twice from the China Mergers & Acquisitions Association.

Carrie is a Fellow of the ICAEW, CPA Canada and HKICPA. She graduated from The University of Hong Kong and had completed the Advanced Management Program of the Harvard Business School (HBS).
