Hong Kong, 8 March 2022 – PwC Hong Kong is pleased to announce PricewaterhouseCoopers Foundation’s second donation of HKD 1 million. The funds will go towards purchasing rapid test kits mainly for the elderly and caregivers in elderly care homes under the Tung Wah Group of Hospitals, support families under financial stress caused by the pandemic through The Community Chest Rainbow Fund, and emergency food supplies through Po Leung Kuk and Foodlink Foundation. PricewaterhouseCoopers Foundation’s latest donation follows an initial contribution of HKD500,000 to The Hong Kong Council of Social Service to sponsor its local COVID-19 relief programme for NGOs on 21 February 2022.

Raymund Chao, PwC Asia Pacific and China Chairman, said, “The pandemic continues to redefine our lives and what a new normal looks like. Our hearts go out to the Hong Kong community, particularly those directly affected. We hope these funds will help alleviate some of their hardships through the relief initiatives undertaken by our charity partners. I’m confident that, by working together, we’ll be able to overcome these very challenging times.”
