Samie is PwC Mainland China and Hong Kong Food Supply and Integrity Services Leader. Her team provides services for food industry companies on food safety and quality management, risk assessment, supply chain management, growth and investment strategies. 

Samie has extensive experience across multinational companies and conglomerates, listed companies in China and Hong Kong, and consumer goods industry, in which she has helped clients on financial audit, risk assessment and internal controls, etc.

Samie’s professional background is financial assurance and she also helps clients on capital market transactions. These services include initial public offerings, merger and acquisitions, due diligence review and risk assurance covering risk management, internal controls and process review (including PN21 internal controls report), etc. 

She serves clients in a wide range of industries, including retail and consumer, manufacturing, trading, mining, gaming and property development, and has already been involved in audit and assurance services for several listed companies in China and Hong Kong.

Samie involved in some key food industry projects, including:

  • Alibaba’s food trust framework project across China, Hong Kong and Australia
  • Audit partner for a gaming and entertainment group that owns and operates casinos, hotels and restaurants in Macau, other large food companies, including one of the China & Hong Kong’s largest food distributors (supplier for rice, meat, frozen food, imported food and modern agriculture); a large retail chain in China; and a large coffee shop chain in China and Hong Kong 
  • Food safety internal control and risk management review for a large poultry farming and production business in China
  • Suppliers’ management and audit for a worldwide leading chocolate and candy producer
  • Food quality and strategy implementation for a large health products company in China
