Laura is a partner in PwC China Beijing office and leads the US Markets Group. She has over 20 years of experience advising companies on US GAAP, IFRS, and SEC technical matters in relation to their US IPOs, Private Placements, ongoing registration requirements and overseas acquisitions. She has extensive experience working with technology and media companies, specifically working in complex areas such as revenue recognition, purchase accounting for acquisitions, and consolidation analysis for variable interest entities. Laura’s recent projects have included the completion of an IPO in the fintech sector and converting a Chinese conglomerate’s financial statements from China Accounting Standards to US GAAP.
She has presented at over 40 conferences and seminars discussing SEC regulations and US GAAP technical standards. She also has authored several publications, including “Going Public: A guide for Chinese companies to list on the U.S. Securities Markets” and materials to support companies’ global conversion to IFRS.
Prior to joining PwC China in Beijing in 1997, Laura worked for PwC - US in the technology, infocomm and entertainment audit group.
Laura graduated with honors from the University of Wisconsin, where she earned a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in Accounting. She holds a US CPA license.
