PwC puts Quality – in all its dimensions – at the top of its leadership agenda. This is critical to PwC’s purpose to Build Trust in Society and Solve Important Problems. The emphasis on Quality has never been greater in an ever more complex world and especially in a fast growing multidisciplinary organisation comprising 25,000+ people, spanning multiple legal and regulatory jurisdictions. In this regard, as CRO, Jim oversees the Firm’s Enterprise Risk Management (“ERM”), regulatory compliance and reporting programmes. He has broad based responsibility for assessing, developing and implementing mitigation responses to address significant business, regulatory and technological threats.

In his capacity as CDO, Jim’s remit includes driving the Firm’s strategic priority to deliver distinctive digital products and solutions to its clients, alongside more traditional human led professional services. He also has a key leadership role to identify potential investment opportunities in innovative new tech start-ups and digital ventures, and to oversee/monitor such investments.

Based in Hong Kong over the last 28+ years, Jim has held key relationship roles as a senior client service partner for many of PwC's most prestigious accounts. He has significant experience working across the Asia Pacific region.

During the period 2011 to 2019, Jim was PwC’s Global Risk and Regulatory Services leader, in addition to responsibility for the Asia Pacific region and China as an individual network territory. During his tenure, the business grew at 20% + on an annual basis.

Jim served as the Strategy Leader for PwC China's Assurance business between 2006 and 2011. He was also a member of the China Firm's Supervisory Board from 2006 to 2010.
