International Tax Review's Awards Methodology

Since 1990 International Tax Review has established itself as the world's most authoritative and lively magazine dedicated to international tax strategy.  Each issue includes comprehensive international news and analysis, unique guides to the most recent international deals, in-depth features, surveys, international updates and profiles.

In August 2010, International Tax Review invited advisory firms in 14 jurisdictions - Australia, China, Hong Kong, India, Indonesia, Japan, Malaysia, New Zealand, Philippines, Singapore, South Korea, Taiwan, Thailand and Vietnam - to submit three examples of their best work in the August 2009 to August 2010 period.  The submissions were considered for three categories (tax, tax disputes and transfer pricing) in each of the countries, the 10 case of the year awards in Australia, Hong Kong, India, Indonesia, Japan, Malaysia, New Zealand, Singapore, Taiwan and South Korea respectively, as well as for the 17 pan-Asian awards.

International Tax Review editorial staff compiled the awards shortlists based on these submissions and consulted with tax executives responsible for the region to choose the winners from these nominees.
