Archived webcast - Mergers and Acquisitions: Improving cash flow and creating value with effective tax planning

3 March 2009 (Tuesday)

The Asian M&A markets have experienced unprecedented growth on the back of the cheap debt easily available in recent years fuelling larger deals and increased returns.  With the global market downturn, it is increasingly important for companies that have made acquisitions in the recent years to focus on their existing portfolio.

In this webcast, our partners shared strategies and the current focus relating to some of key issues faced such as maximising cash, minimising tax risks, and where management equity is underwater.

We also outlined some recent developments in China and Singapore on tax provisions relating to M&A.
