Simon Copley is a Partner and Leader of the Banking & Capital Markets practice in PricewaterhouseCoopers Hong Kong. He specialises in derivatives and risk management and has almost 20 years of experience working with many of the world's largest financial institutions on audits and a wide range of risk management issues in London, and in Hong Kong since 1992.
Simon's relevant experience has included regulatory and other investigations; internal controls reviews, systems specification work, business continuity planning, due diligence, M&A work and a wide range of other advisory projects. He has also lectured on the industry and derivative products for the Euromoney Institute of Finance, at Insol 2001 and for several other organisations.
Simon is also the lead liquidator of Asia's leading and largest fixed income operating unit which went into liquidation in early 1998. The fixed income business was widely regarded as being responsible for the collapse. The liquidation of its large book of fixed income securities and derivatives is the first of its kind and has involved many groundbreaking developments in insolvency law and practice. |
