On 29 December 2006, the Administrators of Wing Yip Company Limited ("Wing Yip") filed an application with the High Court seeking the Order Nisi to be made final. The Order Nisi was made by the High Court on 21 November 2006 and, amongst other things, stipulated the manner in which assets that are held by Wing Yip are to be distributed to its clients and the method by which any losses are to be allocated between its clients. It also permitted clients wishing to make submissions concerning the subject matter of the Order Nisi to apply to the High Court to become respondents.
No clients have sought to become respondents within the permitted time following the making of the Order Nisi and the Administrators will request the High Court to make the Order Nisi final at a hearing which has been scheduled for this purpose at 9:30a.m. on 8 January 2007 (Monday).
