Mervyn Jacob is a Partner and Leader of the PricewaterhouseCoopers China and Hong Kong Financial Services Practice. He has 24 years of professional audit and advisory experience in Europe, Australia and Hong Kong. He has experience in serving a wide range of international and domestic commercial, retail and investment banks, securities dealers and asset managers, including hedge fund managers. Mervyn has an extensive knowledge of the risks facing financial institutions in the Asia-Pacific region and has been the lead audit engagement partner responsible for some of the largest institutions operating in Hong Kong.
Mervyn has been involved in buyer and vendor due diligence of financial institutions in Hong Kong and China, as well as asset quality, risk management, controls and regulatory compliance reviews of global and local banks in Hong Kong. He has spoken regularly at industry seminars and courses in Hong Kong and China on corporate governance and various accounting and regulatory topics relevant to the financial services industry. |
