May Huang is a Tax Partner based in Beijing. She leads the national practice of the International Assignment Solution (IAS) practice for China. May has over seventeen years of experience advising multinational companies doing business in China. She joined the Firm in Los Angeles and was sent to China in 1986 to set up a representative office in Beijing for then Coopers & Lybrand and has been there since.
May is specialized in China taxation and has an in-depth knowledge of the PRC business regulations and legislation. In the recent five years, she has been focusing on individual income tax planning, expatriate cost management, equity incentive plan, social security & benefits, and labor law. May has also established a regional coordinator role for our global IAS engagements with multinational clients throughout Asia for seamless IAS services and to help clients maximize tax benefits in various countries in Asia.
May was elected by International Tax Review in its surveys as one of top tax advisors in Asia/Pacific. She contributes regularly to professional journals and publications on PRC taxation and is a regular speaker at seminars in China and the Asia-Pacific region.
