Marcellus is a tax Partner with PricewaterhouseCoopers.
He started his career in the Hong Kong Inland Revenue Department with over 12 years experience specialising in tax investigations, objections and appeals. In 1992, he transferred to Sydney for a two-year assignment to assist Australian companies investing into China. Over the years, Marcellus has developed extensive experience in providing international tax and transfer pricing consultation to various multinational and local companies, as well as advising the companies to structure cross-border transactions, particularly in the financial services, manufacturing and hi-tech industries. He has been a leading tax adviser on a number of major securitisation, merger and acquisition transactions in Hong Kong and China. He has been consistently named as one of the top tax advisers in Hong Kong in the Euromoney International Tax Review Surveys.
Marcellus graduated from Hong Kong Polytechnic in 1977 and also has a Bachelor of Laws degree from University of London. He is a Fellow Member of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (UK), Hong Kong Institute of Certified Public Accountants and CPA Australia. Marcellus served as the President of the Taxation Institute of Hong Kong from 1996 to 1999 and CPA Australia - Hong Kong China Division for 2004/05.
