||Jenny Chong is a tax partner of PwC China based in Shanghai. Jenny worked for PwC US firm and Shanghai firm for over 14 years. Jenny has accumulated extensive experience in advising and implementing cross-border transactions associated with international expansion and structuring, corporate reorganization and divesture, efficient financing and repatriation planning, foreign holding company structure, withholding tax planning as well as structuring inter-company transactions. |
Since she started working in PwC Shanghai office, Jenny has worked on various large tax structuring projects for China based companies making overseas acquisitions or investments, or global tax planning and structuring projects for China-based Foreign Private Issuers (“FPIs”) listed in overseas stock exchange. Jenny’s clients include several large Chinese companies in solar industry. Jenny has accumulated extensive experiences in advising and assisting Chinese clients in outbound investments and global tax planning and her relevant experiences include the following:
Jenny is a Certified Public Accountant in the State of Georgia, USA and a member of American Institute of Certified Public Accountant (AICPA). She is also a member of International Fiscal Association.
- involved in a tax structuring project for a leading Chinese state-owned steel company’s joint venture project in Brazil;
- Involved in an overseas acquisition of a U.S. research lab for a leading Chinese CRO company and assisted in setting up an European financing structure for this company;
- Involved in several natural resource acquisition projects for a leading state-owned steel company acquisition in Brazil and Australia; and
- Involved in legal entity structuring and overseas principal company planning for a large Chinese company listed in A share.
