Edwin is a tax partner with the Beijing office of PricewaterhouseCoopers. He is the partner responsible for the development of China Investment Business Advisory Service and International Tax Service in Beijing and has also recently assumed leadership role in Tax Services for Domestic Market in the North China Region. Edwin specialises in advising investment / restructure / exit strategy of multi-national companies into China. He is familiar with tax and regulatory issues faced by foreign investors in the establishing of their corporate structure, and other tax planning issues in China. Edwin is also heavily involved in advising large state own enterprises on the tax and operation structuring of their overseas investment as well as overseas group reorganization and overseas financing transactions. He has been involved in the structuring of several prominent transactions for Chinese clients investing overseas. Edwin has previously worked with PricewaterhouseCoopers Hong Kong and was heavily involved in the structuring of certain prominent cross-border transactions. Before joining the Hong Kong office, he has worked in Canada for 10 years. He has extensive experience in advising clients on local and international tax planning, cross border reorganization structuring, designing of holding company structure, tax and financing structuring as well as on mergers and acquisition transactions. He also has extensive experience in helping clients set up and implement tax efficient operating structures. Edwin is a member of the Canadian Institute of Chartered Accountants, Fellow member of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants and the Hong Kong Institute of Certified Public Accountants. He was a council member of the Taxation Institute of Hong Kong. |
