Edwin is a tax partner with the Beijing office of PricewaterhouseCoopers China. He is the leader of the China International Tax Services and the leader of China North Region Merger & Acquisition Tax Services. Before that, he was the partner responsible for the development of China Investment Business Advisory Service. Edwin specialises in advising investment, restructuring and exit strategies of multi-national companies investing into China. He is familiar with tax and regulatory issues faced by foreign investors in the establishing of their corporate and holding structure, and other tax planning issues in China. Edwin has previously worked with PricewaterhouseCoopers Hong Kong and was heavily involved in the structuring of certain prominent cross-border transactions. Before joining the Hong Kong office, he has worked in Canada for 10 years. He has extensive experience in advising clients on local and international tax planning, cross border reorganisation structuring, designing of holding company structure, tax and financing structuring as well as on merger and acquisition transactions. He also has extensive experience in helping clients set up and implement tax efficient operating structures. Edwin is a member of the Canadian Institute of Chartered Accountants, Fellow members of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants and the Hong Kong Institute of Certified Public Accountants. He was a council member of the Taxation Institute of Hong Kong. |
