Alan is a tax and business advisory partner based in Beijing. Alan has been advising multinational companies on entering the China market, setting up operations in China and providing tax, business advisory and due diligence services to multinational companies doing business in China, since 1994. He also has active experience in negotiating with PRC tax authorities on tax positions and tax concessions for clients and assisted clients with tax audits by the PRC tax authorities.
Alan is also responsible for the leadership and development of the tax and business advisory practice of PricewaterhouseCoopers' Tianjin office. He also has national responsibilities for the Energy and Mining Industry Practice and Value-added Tax Services. Alan's services also cover the Technology, Information Communication & Entertainment group and the Consumer and Industrial Products group. He worked in Shanghai for six years, before relocating to Beijing.
Alan is a graduate of the University of Southern California and possesses three degrees from the university - Bachelor of Science (Electrical Engineering), Masters of Accounting and Masters of Business Taxation. He is a Certified Public Accountant in California, United States of America and a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants. He is fluent in English, Mandarin, Shanghainese and Cantonese.
